Culture Change Network of Georgia is excited to connect, grow, and explore at the 64th Annual Georgia Gerontology Society Conference. Over three days of dynamic general sessions, engaging educational workshops, and networking opportunities, GGS will provide attendees with the tools to: Connect with colleagues to develop new collaborations and break down silos; Explore innovative and best practices across the aging network, and; Grow to become better providers, leaders, and advocates for older adults

The conference will include a Pre-Conference Intensive on Workforce Recruitment and Retention co-sponsored by Thanks Mom and Dad, Georgia Alzheimer’s and Related Dementia’s workforce development workgroup, Atlanta Regional Commission, LeadingAge Georgia and Georgia Health Care Association.

Also featured will be a keynote session on integrating music therapy to care for and engage older adults.

The conference will be held at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton Reynolds at Lake Oconee. Along 30 acres of Lake Oconee shoreline, city-dwellers trade traffic for nature’s tranquility. At this luxury resort in Georgia, guests make themselves at home in lakeside rooms and suites, dine beneath a star-filled sky and unplug with Southern-inspired spa therapies or a day of fishing. Here, moments are enjoyed and memories made.

The conference room block rate for attendees is $159 (plus applicable state and local taxes and the state hotel/motel fee) per night. In order to secure the room block guarantee rate, reservations must be made by June 21, 2019.

Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 per person are available for GA nursing home staff and related stakeholders.

This conference has been pre-approved by The Commission for Case Manager Certification to provide 9.5 CE contact hours to CCM® board certified case managers.

CEUS are pending for nursing and social work.
