Good news – another tool for your toolbox! This Force Field Analysis is an effective, structured decision-making tool that can improve the quality of your decisions and move you towards success. The analysis is based on the assumption that a situation is the result of forces for and against the current situation. Once these positive/driving forces and negative/restraining forces are identified, this information can be used to develop action items that lead to change and improvement.

All the tools – PDSA, RCA and Force Field Analysis can lead you to Action….and that is key! KNOWING what is happening is just one step – the next step is DOING.

We will have guests from our Quality Improvement Organization, Alliant Health Solutions (Linda Kluge, Senior Executive Director of Quality & Strategic Alliances and Melody Brown, State Manager – Georgia), and Melissa Hampton (Quality Advisor – GA, KY, TN) who will offer commentary on the usefulness of this strategy and how to incorporate it into your QI work.
