10:00-11:00am EST
In this webinar, we will discuss the stigma surrounding dementia and identify ways we can reduce its impact in our communities. Key concepts to be included are the language of person-centered dementia care (words matter!) and the “4Cs.” We will also overview the state and federal infrastructure that supports planning for dementia-capable communities. We will have a guest speaker, Dina McDonald, the GARD (Georgia Alzheimer’s & Related Dementias Collaborative) Coordinator with the Division of Aging, Georgia Department of Aging Services. Ms. McDonald will outline how you can use the Dementia Friends program in your community to spread dementia awareness and make connections with key community partners.
